Performs statistical analysis of data to provide information to meet quality standards.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">You will do this by</H2> </div><div><ol> <li>Performs advanced quality assurance assignments and projects; participates in new models development process; performs Quality Management System documentation activities</li> <li>Coordinates complex product/process capability studies</li> <li>Leads problem solving teams; identifies root causes, implements corrective actions and verifies effectiveness</li> <li>Develops product/process procedures including development of performance metrics</li> <li>Performs statistical analysis used in problem solving, quality improvement projects &amp; Six Sigma teams</li> <li>Performs layouts, reads and understands geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&amp;T)</li> <li>Investigates customer complaints, develops corrective action plans and verifies effectiveness</li> <li>Leads Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) teams and the development and improvement of Control Plans.</li> <li>Serves as a liaison between supplier and Briggs &amp; Stratton in quality activities</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned</li> </ol> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field</li> <li>Five years of related experience in engineering, purchasing or quality field</li> <li>Fundamental quality experience in machining or assembly type operations</li> <li>Enterprise wide reporting system experience preferred</li> <li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with diverse groups of internal and external customers</li> <li>Proven ability to prepare and present technical information</li> <li>Extensive technical knowledge and background of quality and manufacturing processes including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&amp;T), layout and gaging; machining methods and assembly processes as well as statistical process control (SPC) and statistical techniques</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools including control plans and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills</li> <li>Strong time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work with individually or in a team environment as well as the ability to help mentor less experienced team members</li> <li>Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location</li> </ul></div></div></div><p>Quality Engineer Senior</p>
