Functions as a change agent in moving quality process & initiatives forward. Establishes, manages and implements quality initiatives, systems & measures by driving the continued development of a quality culture.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ol> <li>Develops effective quality measurements and reports results to leadership team and others across division at multiple locations both domestic and/or international;</li> <li>Sets direction and measures effectiveness of implemented systems</li> <li>Coordinates and executes quality duties across the location: quality improvements; leads warranty reduction project teams; system improvements; best practices quality initiatives; and training</li> <li>Manages quality system policies and procedures by administering and coordinating quality policies and practices designed to improve quality & reduce costs</li> <li>Coordinates the quality management system certification process</li> <li>Represents Briggs & Stratton’s quality interests for the location with suppliers and customers; participates in customer feedback gathering and focuses to improve customer satisfaction</li> <li>Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned</li> </ol> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Skills Requirements</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Thorough knowledge of quality practices and procedures including Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO requirements</li> <li>Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and team oriented communication skills to effectively work with diverse groups of people</li> <li>Demonstrated success implementing large-scale improvements in complex and diverse environments both domestic and/or international</li> <li>Demonstrated project management and effective facilitation skills</li> <li>Comprehensive technical knowledge and background of quality and manufacturing processes</li> <li>Ability to exercise considerable judgment in guiding quality team in solving practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there may/may not be standardization</li> <li>Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving and decision making skills</li> <li>Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location</li> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field</li> <li>Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field</li> <li>Seven years of quality or related professional experience</li> <li>Prior leadership and management experience</li> <li>Travel up to 25%</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Briggs and Stratton</H2> </div><div><div> <div> <div> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>For this position, the expected <strong>base annual salary range is</strong><strong> $110,000-150,000</strong><strong> </strong>commensurate with experience.
