<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">-</H2> </div><div><p>As a Financial Analyst Senior your goal is to support the Energy Solutions business unit through leading and performing complex accounting and finance functions such as: month-end closing, reporting, analysis of operations, and other analysis process-related activities. <span style="color:white">#LI-MD1 #LI-Hybrid</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>You will do this by:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Developing financial models and action based analytics to streamline processes and to help make informed business decisions</li> <li>Leading the new product development financial modeling for the business unit ensuring company resources are being used most effectively</li> <li>Assisting with quarterly forecasting preparation</li> <li>Leading cost center spend reviews ensuring departments adhere to target levels and understand their activity</li> <li>Performing and leading month-end closing of varying complexity which includes: calculating accrual/reserve balances and discussing calculations with management for subjective nature accounts to arrive at decision; analyzing general ledger account data for accuracy and adjusting accounts if necessary; booking various other journal entries and statistical key figures</li> <li>Preparing financial analyses and bridges on month-end results</li> <li>Preparing complex reports daily, weekly and monthly which may include but not be limited to sales, inventory, production, raw material purchasing and cost of quality</li> <li>Reviewing detail of accounts and following-up on month-end closing items when necessary</li> <li>Identifying and recommending improvements for managerial and operational controls</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em>The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities. </em></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>You are the kind of person who is/has:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Driven</li> <li>Strong attention to detail</li> <li>Superior organizational skills with ability to multi-task</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">-</H2> </div><div><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent education and experience</li> <li>Minimum of three years of accounting/finance experience</li> <li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred</li> <li>Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles</li> <li>Strong analytical skills necessary to review/analyze accounting and financial data, substantiate financial statement balances and prepare financial statement account reconciliation</li> <li>High ability to identify, measure, evaluate &amp; improve, if necessary, the effectiveness of accounting, financial, managerial and operational controls</li> <li>Strong verbal &amp; written communication &amp; interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of people in a team environment</li> <li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface with all levels</li> <li>Advanced computer skills including advanced knowledge of and experience working with spreadsheet software</li> <li>Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects with a strong attention to accuracy and detail</li> <li>Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</em></p></div></div></div><p><em>Briggs &amp; Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides innovative products and diverse power solutions to help people get work done.
