The Data Engineer will ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of data systems by integrating raw data from various sources, optimizing data storage solutions, and enabling advanced analytics. Key responsibilities include data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development, and ensuring data quality and security.</span></p> <p><span style="">Effective communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a strong understanding of modern data engineering tools and technologies are essential. A willingness to collaborate across teams, adapt to evolving business requirements, and continuously learn new techniques and technologies is critical to success in this role.</span></p> <h3> </h3> <h3><span style="">Key Responsibilities</span></h3> <p><span style="">• Coordinate with the business and data owners to design and build new data models within Azure — 30%</span></p> <p><span style="">• Lead discussions with IT for data exposure prioritization and cloud platform maintenance — 15%</span></p> <p><span style="">• Monitor data pipeline performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth and efficient data operations. — 15%</span></p> <p><span style="">• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing — 25%</span></p> <p><span style="">• Ensure data quality and security of the data pipelines, replicating the security structure provided by the raw data sources being accessed — 15%</span></p> <h3> </h3> <h3><span style="">Secondary Responsibilities</span></h3> <p><span style="">• Ability to achieve project goals and objectives by applying the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about successful project completion</span></p> <p><span style="">• Continuously seek out industry best practice and skills to develop new capabilities for data engineering at McCormick and help drive our digital transformation</span></p> <h3> </h3> <h3><span style="">Required Qualifications</span></h3> <p><span style="">Level of Education and Discipline</span><br><span style="">Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science, or related field</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="">Experience - functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen</span></strong></p> <p><span style="">Advanced analytical skillset.
