Apply now and grow your career with us. </div><div> <div> </div> <div> Activities and Responsibilities:#LI-DNI <ul> <li style="color:#000000">Maintain complete and accurate accounting records under Romanian GAAP</li> <li style="color:#000000">Manage monthly, quarterly and annual local closing process</li> <li style="color:#000000">Prepare mid-year and annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations </li> <li style="color:#000000">Prepare Corporate Income Tax calculations and ensure timely and accurate tax filings </li> <li style="color:#000000">Ensure VAT compliance including preparation and submission of VAT returns and ANAF reporting </li> <li style="color:#000000">Support statutory reporting in accordance with local GAAP requirements (e.g. National Bank of Romania, National Institute of Statistics) </li> <li style="color:#000000">Deliver accurate and timely monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting in compliance with corporate deadlines and standards </li> <li style="color:#000000">Prepare group reporting package for consolidated financial statements </li> <li style="color:#000000">Reconcile differences between Romanian GAAP and US GAAP </li> <li style="color:#000000">Cooperate and support internal and external audits </li> <li style="color:#000000">Supervise fixed asset accounting </li> <li style="color:#000000">Oversee inventory stock count </li> <li style="color:#000000">Review and approve account reconciliations </li> </ul> </div> <div> Additional/Potential responsibility: </div> <div> <ul> <li style="color:#000000">Prepare monthly payroll processing and payroll-related declarations </li> </ul> </div> </div> <div> <div> </div> <div> Key capabilities: </div> <div> <ul> <li style="color:#000000">Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline </li> <li style="color:#000000">Certified Accountant qualification (CECCAR membership) – preferred or in progress </li> <li style="color:#000000">Solid knowledge of Romanian Accounting Law and tax legislation </li> <li style="color:#000000">Progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting </li> <li style="color:#000000">Experience in supporting statutory audits </li> <li style="color:#000000">Good understanding of corporate income tax and VAT compliance </li> <li style="color:#000000">Previous experience with US GAAP reporting – considered an advantage </li> <li style="color:#000000">Experience in payroll processing and reporting - considered a plus </li> <li style="color:#000000">High level of accountability and ownership </li> <li style="color:#000000">Strong ethical standards and internal control mindset </li> <li style="color:#000000">Excellent Microsoft Offices skills </li> <li style="color:#000000">Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills </li> <li style="color:#000000">Fluency in Romanian and English </li> </ul> </div> </div> Agencies: McCormick as needed will work with external recruitment vendors through our Agency Portal.
