Work includes daily maintenance of construction documentation systems and project records. Work is performed with considerable independence and is reviewed for quality and adherence to established material standards.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Essential Functions & Responsibilities</b></u></H2> </div><div><p>Participates in performing inspection of workmanship, materials and work in process on construction projects to determine whether methods, materials and equipment conform to established standards.</p> <p>Maintains construction process documents to ensure accountability of construction expenditures. Maintains Construction Documentation System (CDS) and related construction management technologies daily.</p> <p>Assists in monitoring federal, state and local laws regulating construction procedures, safety practices, working conditions and project records and ensures compliance with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commissions’ (PTC) Construction Operation Manual (COM), policies and best practices.</p> <p>Assists with construction contract finalization and closeout processes and the maintenance of records and documentation of work performed to support final cost determination.</p> <p>Instructs and advises other employees, contractors and construction workers in the techniques of construction documentation, field measurements and material sampling and testing.</p> <p>Assists with the documentation of reviews and audits with internal and external business partners.</p> <p>Works extended hours to assist in the management of normal and emergency construction operations.</p> <p>Uses situational awareness to anticipate and prevent accidents. </p> <p>Performs related duties as assigned.<br> </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Qualifications</b></u></H2> </div><div><p>High school diploma or equivalent certification. </p> <p>Possession of a NICET level 3 certification in Civil Engineering Technology related program. </p> <p>Possession of a valid driver’s license.<br> </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Competencies</b></u></H2> </div><div><div>Regular and Predictable Attendance</div><div>Decision Making and Independent Judgment</div><div>Communication Proficiency</div><div>Mathematical Understanding</div><div>Quality Control</div><div>Safety</div><div>Active Listening</div><div>Attention to Detail</div><div>Technical Capacity</div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Physical Demands and Work Environment</b></u></H2> </div><div><p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><em style="font-style:italic"><span style="font-family:'Arial', sans-serif"><span style="font-style:normal">Position demands include frequent speaking, writing and reading of reports. Position requires occasional travel and/or fieldwork with exposure to roadway traffic. Office environment with low to moderate levels of noise, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Field environment may include exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable environmental conditions.
