About this role

The Transformation Business Partner plays a critical role in supporting Unilabs Netherlands during periods of post-merger integration (PMI) and strategic transformation.

The role is responsible for ensuring robust financial governance over transformation initiatives, tracking savings and value creation, and acting as a key finance business partner to the Transformation Office.

The position combines classic controlling responsibilities with a strong forward-looking, change-oriented focus, enabling management to make fact-based decisions and ensuring that transformation benefits are transparently tracked, realized, and sustained.

Key ResponsibilitiesPost-Merger Integration (PMI) Controlling

• Provide financial oversight and control for PMI activities, including integration costs,

synergies, and one-off restructuring items.

• Establish and maintain clear financial tracking of PMI-related benefits and risks.

• Support the preparation of PMI business cases and monitor actuals versus plan.

• Ensure alignment with Unilabs Group PMI standards, policies, and reporting

requirements.

Transformation Controlling

• Act as the dedicated finance partner to the Transformation Office, supporting

strategic initiatives across operations, commercial, and support functions.

• Translate transformation initiatives into measurable financial targets and KPIs.

• Challenge assumptions, validate business cases, and provide scenario and

sensitivity analyses.

• Support prioritization of initiatives based on financial impact and feasibility.

Savings Tracking & Value Realization

• Design, implement, and maintain a structured savings tracking framework covering

cost savings, efficiency gains, and revenue improvements.

• Track savings from identification through validation, realization, and run-rate

sustainability.

• Reconcile reported savings with financial results (P&L, balance sheet, and cash

flow).

• Ensure transparency and auditability of savings reporting.

Business Partnering

• Act as a trusted financial advisor to transformation leads, functional heads, and

senior management.

• Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and performance

improvement.

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Finance, Transformation Office,

and operational teams.

• Communicate complex financial topics clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Reporting & Governance

• Prepare high-quality reporting for local management and Group, including

dashboards, executive summaries, and deep-dive analyses.

• Support monthly closing activities related to transformation and PMI items.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and Unilabs Group

policies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• >10 years of relevant experience in controlling, finance business partnering, or consulting or M&A

• Proven experience in PMI, transformation, restructuring, or large change programs.

• Strong track record in savings tracking, business case development, and value realization.

• Experience in a complex, matrix-driven, international organization is preferred.
