ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Leads and initiates sales calls of assigned products with an emphasis on seed, crop protection, plant food, and precision supported programs with targeted growers for Dubuque County. Develops a high level of personal trust with the ability to influence grower purchasing decisions. Displays high level of actives sales skills with the ability to close sales calls. Identifies buying motives, handles objections, and meets sales goals. Develops whole farm proposals that create differentiation in the marketing place to proftiably grow seed, crop protection, plant food, and precision volumes. Actively calls on accounts and prospects. Personally knows the top 10 accounts at location. Attains and maintains technical and sales skills to certification standards. Performs all other duties as assigned by their manager. Significance and Purpose of Personal Contacts Contacts with employees outside the immediate department or members of the general public to plan, coordinate or advise in an effort to influence or motivate individuals in situations relative to basic service.
