Reid's Palace, a Belmond Hotel, is seeking for a passionate Restaurant Manager for our Michelin-starred William Restaurant. This role demands a leader who can uphold the highest standards of a world-class dining restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. The Restaurant Manager will be instrumental in integrating various functions, leading a diverse team, and contributing to the creation of unforgettable moments for guests, colleagues, and the community.
The main responsibilities are:
Coordinate and oversee all daily front-of-house restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.Maintain productivity, quality, and customer service standards.Manage reservations and event planning, ensuring efficient booking and seating arrangements, and coordinating special events.Oversee the dining room, engage with customers, and balance seating capacity effectively.Engage with guests, understand their preferences, and create customized, personalized service tailored to their needs, adding a special touch to their experience.Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.Ensure that all food and beverages are consistently prepared and served according to presentation standards and recipes.Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining the restaurant's positive reputation.Organize and supervise shifts, ensuring adequate staffing during peak hours.Recruit, hire, train, and mentor restaurant staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Conduct comprehensive training programs on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards, including menu changes.Provide strong leadership, build team morale, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.Monitor daily sales and financial performance to identify trends and make informed decisions.Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.Requirements
What you bring:
Proven experience in restaurant management, particularly in fine dining and or in Michelin-starred restaurants.Ability to engage with guests, understand their preferences and provide a positive experienceAttention to detail and professional presentation.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.A passion for the hospitality industry and a track record of success in restaurant management.Very good level of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages will be an advantage.Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and POS functions.Benefits
