The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the brand’s day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes. This role will be the primary point of contact for internal teams on day-to-day accounting-related needs and will take ownership of accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger activity. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career accountant who is eager to deepen their technical foundation, gain exposure to a fast-paced retail business, and grow within the accounting function.
What you’ll do:
Oversee accounts payable and vendor management, ensuring all payment requests are accurate, appropriate, and properly reviewedManage substantially all month-end close accounting processes, including recording assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses in the correct periodsPrepare and maintain balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliationsEnsure consistent and accurate transaction coding across all accountsSupport process improvements to streamline and expedite the month-end closeServe as the day-to-day accounting contact for cross-functional partners across the organizationAssist with ad hoc accounting projects and analyses as the business grows

Experience working in a retail, fashion, or consumer goods companyA CPA license or are actively working toward one
Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in AccountingApproximately 2 years of accounting experience in a similar company or environmentHands-on experience beyond basic A/P or A/R, such as prepaids, revenue, payroll-related entries, or accrualsInventory/COGS accounting experience.Has worked with retail accounting such as Amazon, Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.A dynamic and thorough approach to your work, with the ability to problem-solve independentlyStrong analytical skills and a willingness to question inconsistencies or unclear transactionsA social, self-motivated personality that thrives in a growing and evolving environmentA collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally
