Role Overview

The Marketing Generalist (PR-Focused) will play a key role in executing and supporting brand marketing initiatives, with a primary emphasis on public relations, earned media, and brand storytelling. This role blends traditional PR responsibilities with broader marketing support, including campaign execution, partnerships, and cross-channel amplification.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on marketer who understands how PR connects to the broader marketing ecosystem and can contribute across multiple brand touchpoints while owning PR execution end to end.

What You’ll Do

Public Relations & Brand Storytelling (Primary Focus)

Develop and execute PR strategies that increase brand awareness, credibility, and cultural relevanceCraft compelling narratives around product innovation, seasonal launches, culinary trends, health insights, and sustainabilityIdentify timely, culturally relevant moments to position GreenChef in ongoing conversations

Media Relations & Earned Coverage

Build and maintain relationships with national, regional, and trade media across food, wellness, lifestyle, business, and sustainabilityProactively pitch and secure high-quality earned media (features, product placements, expert commentary, trend stories)Manage press materials, media calendars, and reactive opportunities

Integrated Marketing & Campaign Support

Support product launches, brand campaigns, partnerships, and seasonal initiatives from a PR and storytelling perspectiveCollaborate with social, influencer, and paid media teams to amplify earned coverage across owned and paid channelsAssist with experiential activations, press events, and partnerships as needed

Executive Visibility & Thought Leadership

Help position executives and culinary leaders as industry experts through interviews, bylines, awards, and speaking opportunitiesTranslate internal data, customer insights, and food trend intelligence into compelling external narratives

Measurement, Reporting & Operations

Track and report on PR and brand performance, including coverage quality, reach, sentiment, and share of voiceAnalyze results to inform future campaigns and optimize messagingSupport PR agency coordination and budget tracking (if applicable)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, or related field3–5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or brand marketing (agency and/or in-house)Experience supporting consumer, DTC, food, wellness, or lifestyle brandsStrong writing and communication skillsFamiliarity with media tools such as Muck Rack, Cision, or TalkwalkerExperience working on integrated campaigns across earned, owned, and paid channelsExperience with subscription or ecommerce brands is a plus
