<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>The Yardhorse Operator move loaded and unloaded trailers from the yard trailer parking area to the dock and returns to the trailer parking area using the yardhorse in a safe manner.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><p>• Seal trailers upon exiting of dock door.<br> • Inspect yardhorse equipment and all trailers daily and reports unsafe conditions to manager.<br> • Maintain a safe yard area when parking trailers in respect to distance and staging requirements.<br> • Assist in the communication with outside carrier’s drivers, including breaking of seals.<br> • Oversee the pre-loaded trailers in regard to unit operation.<br> • Keep daily trailer inventory records (yard check).<br> • Ensure that reefer units are filled with fuel when required.<br> • Productive use of down time.<br> • Ability to complete warehouse functions/tasks.<br> • Perform daily perimeter checks for security; plant doors, suspicious vehicles/activities, report to manager.<br> • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.<br> • All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.<br> • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager/Lead.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Required Education and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><p>• High School diploma or GED.<br> • Basic product knowledge of raw/finished goods materials. <br> • Understanding of shipping and receiving processes and related equipment. <br> • Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices. </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Education and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><p>• Possession of CDL is helpful.<br> • Prior yardhorse or tractor trailer experience.<br> • Lift truck experience.<br> • Experience in the use of a bar code driven (RF) operation.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Working Conditions</b></H2> </div><div><div>• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.</div><div>• Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying.</div><div>• Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required.</div><div>• Product weight: up to 100 lbs</div><div>• Repetitive work in a fast-paced production environment with average temperature of 50-60 degrees F.</div><div>• Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors or other motorized vehicles in tight quarters.</div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>EEOC & Disclaimer</b></H2> </div><div><div>Great Lakes Cheese is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.</div></div></div></div>
