<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Supervisor is the primary back-up to the FSQA Manager and will directly supervise and coordinate the activities within the lab to ensure the quality of product is consistent with Company expectations and customer requirements.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Support the FSQA department in the efforts to ensure raw materials and packaged products meet GLC and customer specifications </li> <li>Develop, implement, review and maintain programs that support food safety fundamentals in cooperation with plant FSQA Manager</li> <li>Facilitate the effective implementation and maintenance of quality audit programs including SQF, Identity preserved and customer specific audits.</li> <li>Facilitate investigations and support corrective and preventive actions related to the food safety and quality programs</li> <li>Coordinate and respond to customer concerns related to food safety and product quality </li> <li>Communicate with cross-functional plant teams on FSQA projects, audit results and corrective actions</li> <li>Facilitate and support training of all organization personnel to drive competency in execution of functions affecting product legality, safety and customer specifications </li> <li>Communicate with plant and corporate FSQA on supplier concerns to resolve and mitigate problems</li> <li>Facilitate internal audits of all plant areas for food safety and GMP compliance</li> <li>Support sanitation programs to drive plant cleanliness and adequate documentation</li> <li>Function as direct supervisor of the hourly FSQA team members and evaluate their performance for continuous improvement </li> <li>Observe and evaluate laboratory and operational processes to drive continuous improvement on issues relating to the food safety and quality programs </li> <li>Coordinate and participate in FSQA mock exercises such as Mock Trace/Recall and Mock Intruder</li> <li>Facilitate and support product sampling and shelf life product retention program</li> <li>Motivate and lead by example</li> <li>All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures. </li> <li>All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program</li> <li>Other responsibilities as assigned by plant and corporate leadership</li> <li>Maintain company confidentiality </li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Required Education and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field, or commensurate experience. </li> <li>2 years of Quality supervision experience or more. </li> <li>2 years of lab experience or more. </li> <li>In depth understanding of chemical and physical processes relating to cheese and packaging quality. </li> <li>Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience. </li> <li>Ability to administer a proactive management approach. </li> <li>Ability to provide leadership, support, communication and direction to lab technicians, as well as other personnel. </li> <li>Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve beyond the routine issues. </li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office. </li> <li>Able to work in the US without corporate sponsorship.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Education and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Experience with thermal processing and/or industrial pasteurization.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Related Science Degree. </li> <li>SAP experience. </li> <li>SQF certified. </li> <li>PCQI Certified.</li> <li>HACCP Certification.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Working Conditions</b></H2> </div><div><div>• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.</div><div>• Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying.</div><div>• Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required.</div><div>• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF;
