<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b></b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p><br>Work as part of the underground electrical team to ensure all mining machinery and equipment performs safely and efficiently through planned inspections, effective fault-finding, timely repairs, and proactive maintenance.</p> <p> </p> <p>Location: Boulby Mine, Saltburn-by-the-Sea.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>The Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><br>Safety & Compliance</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Complete statutory inspections and reports in line with legislation and site requirements.</li> <li>Comply with current Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, method statements, and site-specific rules.</li> <li>Conduct and document electrical isolations per company procedures.</li> <li>Maintain awareness of evolving health and safety standards.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Maintenance & Operations</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Inspect, fault-find, maintain and repair face-line machinery, conveyor systems, and switchgear.</li> <li>Install, advance and maintain underground communications and lighting systems.</li> <li>Plan and execute work based on shift reports and inspections.</li> <li>Utilise the Permit to Work system; issue permits as authorised.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Teamwork & Communication</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Collaborate effectively with electrical and production colleagues to minimise downtime.</li> <li>Provide feedback on equipment condition and job progress to supervisors and team members.</li> <li>Interpret and act upon technical manuals, verbal instructions, and previous reports.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Problem Solving & Decision Making</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Respond promptly and independently to equipment issues, using sound judgment under pressure.</li> <li>Suggest improvements in equipment performance, safety, tooling, or working practices.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Resource Use</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Use parts and consumables responsibly to reduce waste and cost.</li> <li>Ensure tooling and materials are used efficiently and safely.</li> </ul> <p> </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"></H2> </div><div><p><strong>The Requirements</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Time-served electrician in a heavy industrial, mining, or processing environment.</li> <li>Experience with HV/LV systems (up to 11kV), conveyor and pumping systems.</li> <li>Understanding of computer/PLC control systems desirable.</li> <li>Level 2 Skills for Life (Numeracy, Literacy, ITQ) or GCSE equivalent/higher.</li> <li>Electrical engineering qualification.</li> <li>Certification in Risk Assessment and IOSH Working Safely (or willingness to achieve).</li> <li>Strong communication skills—verbal and written.<br> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>A proactive, flexible, and safety-conscious mindset.</li> <li>Self-discipline, reliability, and a team-focused approach.</li> <li>A willingness to develop and continuously improve performance.</li> </ul></div></div></div>
