About this role

<p>We are seeking a proactive, hands-on <strong>Digital Agriculture Expert (m/f/d)</strong> to drive the implementation, adoption, and maintenance of new technologies across our breeding station network. This role focuses on ensuring the effective use of new field technologies to create value for <strong>KWS</strong>.</p> <p>This is a <strong>full-time</strong>, <strong>permanent position</strong> based either at our headquarters in <strong>Einbeck (Lower Saxony)</strong> or our research breeding station in <strong>Seligenstadt (Bavaria)</strong>, Germany.<strong> </strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan, introduce, and implement precision agriculture technologies (e.g., FieldExplorer, Phenotyping, Field Machinery, NIRS, Environment) within KWS fields.</li> <li>High presence in research fields to support users, solve problems, identify opportunities and foster close collaboration</li> <li>Network within and beyond the breeding station landscape to identify synergies in the region and across stakeholders</li> <li>Serve as a consultant for new technologies, assisting with cost and investment planning.</li> <li>Organize local technology tests and manage country-specific permissions in collaboration with public agencies.</li> <li>Enhance user capabilities by providing regular training, technical expertise, and support materials for field activities across all crops. Maintain a strong field presence.</li> <li>Monitor technology adoption and usage in collaboration with key stakeholders (station managers, station experts, developers, and other functions).</li> <li>Troubleshoot and main contact with internal developers and external providers particularly during sowing, season management, and harvesting.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Your Profile: </strong></p> <ul> <li>University degree in agricultural engineering, agronomy, or machinery engineering with a strong affinity for the agriculture industry.</li> <li>Knowledge and Experience of agricultural equipment and steering systems (e.g., tractors, planters, harvesters).</li> <li>Experience with GIS, field mapping, drones, and other digital farming technologies.</li> <li>Willingness to travel up to 50% (to our breeding stations in Germany and be present in field activities)</li> <li>Fluency in English and German.</li> <li>Experience in training and supporting staff.</li> <li>Ability to facilitate interactive workshops with end-users, ensuring engagement, alignment, and actionable outcomes</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li> <li>Ideally, basic knowledge of process improvement and project management.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>T<strong>o help you grow with us...
