This is a unique opportunity shaping pepper breeding programs quickly into commercial success, with the support of a global R&D network and the long term stability of KWS. </div> Your tasks: <ul> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Develop and manage the breeding programmes for lamuyo and dulce Italiano pepper segments </li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">You use, innovate and optimise breeding schemes by using state-of-the-art breeding technologies for the development and selection of high-quality commercial successful varieties.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">You cooperate with internal groups of breeding, research, product development and production.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">You bring your ideas and support scientific research projects.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Manage, direct, and coordinate activities for competent employees and ensure an efficient and effective functioning breeding team</li> </ul> Your profile: <ul> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Min. 5 years experience in a vegetable breeding programme</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">You hold a PhD or master’s degree with a focus on plant breeding.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">You have gained good knowledge in quantitative genetics, plant pathology, breeding methodology and the pepper vegetable market</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required for the position and preferably good working knowledge of Spanish</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">The ability to work (assessment, selection) under field conditions is common ground for you</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">You are known to be a strong communicator and a team player person with excellent organisational and analytical skills.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">You have the ability to work in an international team of breeders and scientists</li> <li>You have the willingness and flexibility for business trips</li> </ul> Interested?
