<p>At <span style="color:darkorange"><strong>KWS Benelux B.V.</strong></span> we are looking for a motivated <strong><span style="color:darkorange">Sr. Field Technician</span></strong> for our expanding <strong><span style="color:darkorange">Hybrid Potato </span></strong>activities in <span style="color:darkorange"><strong>Nagele</strong></span>. In this role, you will support field and greenhouse operations and contribute to high-quality potato, cereals and oilseed trials.</p> <p>The <span style="color:darkorange"><strong>KWS polder station in Nagele </strong></span>(Flevoland) consists of approximately 100 ha of arable farming with research and breeding activities for various crops within the cultivation plan. The technical team consists of 30 employees responsible for a wide range of activities year-round.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:darkorange"><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Support field and greenhouse trials across potatoes, cereals, and oilseed crops</li> <li> <div>Manage a team in carrying out the station’s activities</div> </li> <li>Carry out planting, harvesting, assessments, and selection activities</li> <li>Process samples and accurately record trial data</li> <li>Operate tractors and agricultural machinery for field operations</li> <li>Assist with greenhouse crossing and true potato seed activities</li> <li>Identify process improvements and support day‑to‑day trial activities</li> <li>Coordinate with colleagues and guide seasonal workers</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:darkorange"><strong>Your profile:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>MBO‑level education, preferably in agriculture or a related field</li> <li>Practical agricultural knowledge and experience with field operations</li> <li>Able to independently operate tractors and agricultural machinery; experience with GPS systems</li> <li>In possession of driving licences B and T (forklift certificate is a plus)</li> <li>Good command of <strong>Dutch (mandatory) </strong>and a working knowledge of <strong>English</strong></li> <li>Comfortable using computers and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel)</li> <li>Accurate, hands‑on, and able to work independently and within a (international) team</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:darkorange"><strong>Your benefits:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>A 38‑hour working week</li> <li>A competitive salary, depending on experience and role level</li> <li>25 vacation days, additional vitality days depending on age, and the option to take extra leave</li> <li>Access to FiscFree, allowing you to purchase products or services (e.g. bicycle, sports activities, gift cards) with tax advantages</li> <li>A varied and meaningful position within an innovative plant breeding programme</li> <li>Opportunities for personal and professional development</li> <li>Modern facilities and equipment for field and greenhouse operations</li> </ul>
