<p><strong>Contract type: Fixed Term</strong><br><strong>Location: Alderley Park, Edinburgh, London</strong><br><strong>Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based</strong><br><strong>Closing date: 10th July 2026</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We’re looking for a Digital Content Designer to join the Digital Marketing team on a 12 month fixed term basis to create clear, user-centred content across our digital products. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team to design content that helps users complete tasks, understand complex information, and deliver seamless digital journeys.</p> <p>You’ll contribute across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery through to live, using research, data and collaboration to shape effective content solutions. This role is ideal for someone with around 2 years’ experience who can work independently while contributing to a wider content design practice.</p> <p> </p> <p>About the role</p> <ul> <li>Design and deliver clear, accessible, user-centred content for web channels</li> <li>Work iteratively in agile teams, contributing from concept through to continuous improvement</li> <li>Collaborate with UX designers, product managers and marketing teams</li> <li>Use user research, analytics and feedback to inform content decisions</li> <li>Develop wireframes and prototypes using Figma</li> <li>Ensure content meets accessibility, governance and quality standards</li> <li>Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions and incorporate feedback</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>About you</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a content designer on complex, user-centred digital products or services</li> <li>Strong ability to write and structure clear, concise, user-focused content</li> <li>Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle is desirable</li> <li>Experience using Figma and FigJam, or similar tool</li> <li>Good understanding of user-centred content design methodology</li> <li>Knowledge of accessibility, inclusive design principles and usability standards</li> <li>Understanding of SEO and GEO best practices and on-page content optimisation would be beneficial</li> <li>Confidence engaging with stakeholders and communicating content decisions clearly</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>About Royal London</p> <p>We’re the UK’s largest mutual life, pensions and investment company, offering protection, long-term savings and asset management products and services.</p> <p>Our People Promise to our colleagues is that we will all work somewhere inclusive, responsible, enjoyable and fulfilling.
