Description <ul> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Performs advanced diagnostics on difficult to repair vehicles. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Performs general servicing, diagnostics, and repairs of BMW and MINI vehicles. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Utilizes specific BMW and MINI repair procedures, specifications, and equipment. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Generates TSARA and Teile Clearing cases for reporting and resolution documentation. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Provides technical support during BMW and MINI new model launches and events. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Mentors other technicians and assigns work as needed. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Works with Product Engineers from Plant 10 to explore resolutions to problems. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Participates in hazardous materials training and safely handles hazardous materials. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Attends new service training seminars and service roundtables. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Provides technical support for off-site events. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Provides labor, time, and parts estimates for repair services. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Performs quality control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Completes all required paperwork and documentation for repair services. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Understands and models VPS Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Performs other duties as assigned by management. </li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">High school diploma or equivalent. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Technical school or vocational school automotive education (preferred). </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">5+ years of experience as a BMW Service Technician. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">ASE 609 Certification or MCAS required. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Valid Driver's License. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">5+ years of skills using computers. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">5+ years of ability to operate manual transmission vehicles. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">5+ years of demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">5+ years of demonstrated knowledge of repairing, servicing, and diagnosing BMW vehicles. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">3+ years of knowledge of vehicles and tools, and their uses. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">3+ years of ability to apply critical thinking skills and use deductive reasoning. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">3+ years proficiency in all BMW service diagnostic tools and equipment. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">3+ years proficiency in use of a dealership DMS. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">3+ years knowledge of TIS. </li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">3+ years knowledge of AIR.</li> </ul> BMW Manufacturing Company is an equal opportunity employer.
