This role will support our ground-breaking electromechanical and electronic access control (EM/EAC) solutions by translating complex product information into clear, engaging, and customer-centric documentation.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">This position will sit onsite full-time in New Haven or Berlin, CT.</span></p> <h3> </h3> <h3><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">What you will be doing:</span></h3> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Create comprehensive, customer-facing technical documentation for electromechanical and electronic access control hardware</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Collaborate with product development and product marketing teams to develop a deep understanding of products and customer needs</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Translate complex technical information and procedures into simple, clear instructions and user-friendly guides</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Develop and manage product documentation schedules aligned with new product introductions</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Utilize publishing and commercialization software to produce high-quality documentation</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Review and improve existing technical and marketing materials</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Generate animated renderings to support product visualization</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Create promotional graphics for digital marketing campaigns</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Partner with external vendors to coordinate static and animated graphical elements</span></p> <p> </p> <h3><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">What we are looking for:</span></h3> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• ASEE/ASET certification (or equivalent electronic certification) preferred</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• 2–4 years of experience as a technical writer preferred</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Experience with technical illustration and graphical modeling desired</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Experience using XML tools for documentation preferred</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Flexible, service-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency</span></p> <h3> </h3> <h3><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Additional skills desired:</span></h3> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (including Visio)</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Familiarity with SolidWorks</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Experience with KeyShot or similar rendering software preferred</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">We review applications regularly, so don’t hesitate—apply today!</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">#LI-OR1</span></p> </div><p> </p> <p><strong>We are the ASSA ABLOY Group</strong><br>Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
