About The Role We are looking for a proven results focussed Production Manager to lead and manage the total operations of our manufacturing plant based in Carole Park, QLD. This is a hands on role that covers all aspects of the operations, including safety, people management, process management, quality, productivity, technical, maintenance and continuous improvement. <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Production leadership and responsibility</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Managing the day to day activities of the Operations function including production, maintenance, quality, procurement, logistics and warehousing;</li> <li style="margin:6.0pt 0.0cm 10.0pt 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Providing strong leadership with exceptional planning and organising skills to ensure critical targets and deadlines are met;</li> <li style="margin:6.0pt 0.0cm 10.0pt 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Providing efficient management, oversight and review of all resources, including personnel, technical and material </li> <li style="margin:6.0pt 0.0cm 10.0pt 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Forecasting labour requirements and providing recommendations and changes to equipment, work layout, production methods and material handling procedures;</li> <li style="margin:6.0pt 0.0cm 10.0pt 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Driving a ‘safety first’ culture with open communication ensuring best practice and compliance across all operational areas.</li> <li style="margin:6.0pt 0.0cm 10.0pt 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.</li> <li style="margin:6.0pt 0.0cm 10.0pt 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Resolve Warehouse and Transportation Escalations.</li> <li style="margin:6.0pt 0.0cm 10.0pt 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Manage inventory levels of materials or products in liaison with Operations and budget requirements.0</li> </ul> The ideal candidate will be results oriented with a hands on approach and a sense of responsibility and ownership. You will bring strong technical knowledge; operating with a high level of structure, energy & autonomy and the ability to work in cross functional teams. You will have demonstrated leadership skills, with a focus on coaching and developing the team to be the best they can be to ensure the consistent achievement of production, quality and cost targets. We are seeking candidates with experience in an operational management role within production, manufacturing or related industries.
