This role takes concepts from the early discovery and pre-study phases and transforms them into working prototypes, proofs of concept (PoCs), and production-grade components. The AI Developer combines solid software engineering skills with practical experience integrating AI APIs, orchestration frameworks, retrieval pipelines, and cloud services. The ideal candidate is hands-on, curious, and collaborative, able to iterate quickly and work closely with architects and business teams. Key Responsibilities <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Design & build AI-enabled solutions: develop AI-based applications, microservices, and reusable components.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Implement generative AI patterns: build prompt flows, LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Develop PoCs, prototypes & experiments: transform concepts into working PoCs, validate feasibility and value, and iterate rapidly based on business and architectural feedback.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Align with solution architecture & standards: follow patterns defined by the AI Architect; reuse shared capabilities such as vector databases and orchestrators; align with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Integrate cloud AI services and partner solutions: work with services such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, and vendor APIs; optimize prompts, model selection, and response handling.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Ensure governance, security & responsible AI: implement data protection and security controls; support required documentation and risk assessment; build guardrails to ensure safe AI behaviour.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Collaborate across the delivery lifecycle: work with the AI Use Case Lead, AI Architect, business teams, and internal AI programs to support smooth transitions from PoC to scaled delivery.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Continuous learning & knowledge sharing: stay current on emerging AI frameworks/tools and contribute to best practices.</li> </ul> Qualifications Must Have: <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Strong software engineering background (Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Experience building cloud-based applications (Azure, AWS, etc.).</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Hands-on experience using AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, etc.).</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector search, and LLM integration patterns.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Experience with APIs, microservices, and DevOps practices.</li> </ul> Nice to Have: <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Frontend experience for demo UI development.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Experience with Docker and cloud-native toolsets.</li> </ul> Personal Characteristics <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Hands-on, curious, and eager to build and experiment.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Pragmatic problem-solver with strong iteration skills.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Collaborative and comfortable working with cross-functional teams.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Strong communicator capable of simplifying technical topics.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Adaptive and excited by learning new technologies.</li> </ul> We are the ASSA ABLOY Group Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
