In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll play a key part in coordinating transport operations that deliver both value and compliance. <ul type="disc"> <li>Contract: Full-time / Permanent</li> <li>Location: Market Drayton Depot (Weston Way)</li> <li>Shift: 4 on, 4 off – 18.00 - 6.00 (Nights)</li> <li>Salary: £41,633.75</li> </ul> Transport Coordinator Key Responsibilities As a Transport Coordinator, you will: <ul type="disc"> <li>Lead daily driver briefings and debriefings, identifying and implementing performance improvements via PMS.</li> <li>Champion Müller’s safety culture by using STAR cards, conducting safety sweeps, and supporting accident/incident investigations.</li> <li>Maintain and update the site’s run folder, ensuring all changes are clearly communicated.</li> <li>Manage breakdown and recovery procedures for all MMID vehicles.</li> <li>Oversee site assets including GKNs, trolleys, and handheld devices.</li> <li>Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Understand and enforce all work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).</li> <li>Monitor service levels, including customer service metrics and reporting of shorts and lates.</li> <li>Ensure effective resource allocation, legal compliance, and timely communication of changes.</li> <li>Manage the site fuel master key and track fuel usage.</li> <li>Coordinate vehicle servicing in collaboration with the garage team.</li> <li>Oversee the Daily Tacho Master system to ensure driver compliance with legal and regulatory standards.</li> <li>Conduct trailer checks, including temperature monitoring and regular audits.</li> <li>Manage cross-dock operations efficiently.</li> <li>Maintain AS400 system housekeeping.</li> <li>Promote and embody MMID values and behaviours.</li> <li>Support and manage third-party logistics (3PL) relationships.</li> </ul> Transport Coordinator Key Skills & Experience We’re looking for someone who: <ul type="disc"> <li>Has relevant experience in a similar transport or logistics role (desirable)</li> <li>Works well independently and as part of a team</li> <li>Can manage deadlines and prioritise effectively</li> <li>Is self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude</li> <li>Demonstrates initiative and ownership in their work</li> <li>Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing</li> <li>Brings a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence</li> </ul> What’s in it for You?
