What will you be doing? <ul> <li>Ability work individually or on a team to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and systems at the facility, utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.</li> <li>Install, set up and troubleshoot VFDs </li> <li>Ability to work overtime as needed. </li> <li>Troubleshooting skills in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, low and high level voltage, logic circuits, and in all aspects of mechanical equipment and make appropriate repairs</li> <li>Controls design includes developing control concepts, program design, coding and implementation, instrumentation selection and operator interface development.</li> <li>Support engineering projects by designing control systems utilizing standardized design methodologies</li> <li>Help prepare job aids, user documentation, systems documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for plant automation systems.</li> <li>Direct the work activities of outside contractors, maintenance technicians, and other associates in the installation of instrumentation, PLC based control systems, and PC based operator interfaces.</li> <li>Act as technical resource to operations/maintenance on controls related issues including troubleshooting, analysis and recommending practical corrective actions for control related problems.</li> </ul> What will help you be successful in this role? <ul> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.</li> <li>A two-year technical degree or equivalent is required minimum for consideration.</li> <li>A degree in controls/electrical/electronics is preferred, including courses in computer science.</li> <li>2 + years experience of control, electrical, or electronics experience including computer programming, system analysis, and design, electrical or electronics production system troubleshooting, and problem resolution will be considered in leu of degree requirements. </li> <li>Two years of this exposure must be in an industrial production environment and mechanical maintenance work. </li> <li>OSHA 10 or better is preferred.</li> <li> All duties are performed with knowledge and application of safety standards, such as, but not limited to proper personal protective equipment (PPE), lifting techniques, forklift and rigging operations, fall protection, lock out/tag out, and arc flash.</li> <li> Demonstrate a willingness to learn.</li> <li>Has a working knowledge of OSHA regulations, National Electric Codes, and International Building Codes. </li> <li> Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.</li> <li>Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.</li> <li>Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.</li> <li>Able to apply continuous improvement ideas and work in conjunction with teammates from across the business to ensure the design, delivery, and support of quality and on time product to the customer. </li> <li>Identify opportunities and recommend changes to improve plant performance utilizing current control systems or by improving current systems.</li> <li>Able to research and communicate with vendors, recommend and wright purchase requests for suggested replacement parts and supplies.</li> <li>Able to evaluate, estimate time requirements, and complete your assignments on-time.</li> </ul> What is in it for you? The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
