To enhance our successful R&D Center Team in China in Chongqing, we are looking for a passionate <h1>Senior Specialist R&D CHQ</h1>Your Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop and test machine‑learning models with a focus on manufacturing use cases such as advanced process control or predictive maintenance </li> <li> Identify and select suitable datasets from equipment, metrology systems and other sources to ensure by collaborating with engineering teams and reviewing available data </li> <li>Prepare, clean, and preprocess data (filtering, feature extraction, labeling) to enable reliable modelling and analysis through structured data‑processing workflows and quality checks </li> <li>Gather technical background information from subject‑matter experts (mechanical, electrical, testing) to correctly interpret datasets and define relevant model inputs </li> <li>Analyze data to derive technical insights and support problem‑solving by applying statistical analysis, signal processing, and exploratory data techniques </li> <li> Implement prototypes, dashboards and small proof‑of‑concepts to evaluate technical feasibility </li> <li>Maintain python code and machine learning pipelines on the internal platform </li> <li>Evaluate emerging technologies (ML frameworks, sensor systems, data‑processing methods) and assess their potential for industrial application</li> <li> Spread awareness about best practices in machine learning, data analysis, and scientific programming </li> <li> Contribute to patent ideas, research publications, or technical presentations </li> </ul> Your Profile: <ul> <li> Graduate Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Technical Physics or similar technical education or equivalent professional career (e.g. in the area of industrial data science) </li> <li>Fluent in spoken and written English</li> <li>Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin </li> <li>Strong programming skills in Python or other scientific programming environments </li> <li>Experience in industrial machine learning, scientific computing and/or data analysis in engineering context</li> <li>Familiarity with PCB and/or substrate manufacturing processes </li> <li>Project management know how </li> <li>Excellent organisation- and communication skills </li> <li> "Open minded", communicative and "out-of-the-box thinker" </li> </ul>Ready for a new challenge to advance your career?
