The Role As a Principle Technical Architect – Data, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for shaping and delivering advanced data, analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities for Defence and National Security customers. The role focuses on designing mission-aligned data architectures, driving the adoption of AI/ML technologies, and integrating data-driven capability across complex systems. Day-to-day, you will function as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, the architect champions modern data practices, scalable architecture, and the responsible use of AI to deliver operations advantage and mission impact. Your responsibilities will include: <ul> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Taking leadership of defence and security Data Architecture defining secure, scalable, and mission-focused data architecture across multiple platforms/environments</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Shaping end-to-end data lifecycles and leading the design of data models, ontologies, data flows, and integration strategies</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Translating mission problems into feasible AI/ML solutions and prototypes leading the early-stage innovation, experimentation, and technology evaluation</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Integrating data pipelines, analytical platforms, AI models, and mission systems into coherent system of system solutions</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Leading data architecture and AI/ML components within major Defence & Security bids developing compelling strategies, architecture, and delivery approaches for customers</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Leading and mentoring data engineers, AI/ML specialists, architects, and analysts</li> </ul> Essential experience of the Principle Technical Architect – Data: <ul> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Extensive experience designing and delivering data architectures and AI/ML solutions in Defence, Intelligence, or National Security environments</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Demonstrated leadership in developing data strategies, integration, and AI-enable capabilities</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">A strong understanding of Defence data domains, mission workflows, and operation contexts</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Hands-on knowledge of modern data platforms, pipelines, and technologies (cloud and on-premises)</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Proven ability to influence senior Defence stakeholders and lead multi-disciplinary teams</li> <li style="line-height:115%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Previous experience being involved in major complex bids and proposals within the Defence & Security domain </li> </ul> Essential qualifications for the Principle Technical Architect – Data: We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
