Our goal: to push the boundaries of sensor technology and empower innovators to make the world smarter, healthier and happier.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"><br><span style="color:#fd5000">Your new responsibilities</span></p><p>In this master’s thesis, you will enable and evaluate open-source tools for usability in analog IC design. The cornerstone of the work is the exploration of open-source simulator(s) and their comparison with state-of-the-art commercial counterparts in terms of accuracy, performance, and usability.<br>The work will also involve enabling the selected simulator within the design environment to improve ease of use, including integration, push-button–style simulation, and result-visualization workflows.<br>Under the guidance of an experienced engineer, you will assess the selected simulator for various analog circuit analyses, identifying mathematical limitations, corner cases, and interactions with SPICE compact models.</p> <p>•Literature review on SPICE‑based analog simulators; exploration of open‑source simulators, including their strengths and limitations, and selection of one for detailed evaluation<br>•Understanding the scope and usage of analog simulators at ams OSRAM<br>•Investigation of existing solutions or development of design‑environment integration to improve usability<br>•Setup and execution of test benches to extract key performance metrics of circuits and individual devices<br>•Evaluation of SPICE analysis strategies and benchmarking against a golden (reference) tool<br>•Identification of strengths and weaknesses of the simulator under test compared to the golden tool.<br>•Documentation, including research findings, evaluation report, and a how‑to guide</p> <p> </p><p><br><span style="color:#fd5000">Who we are looking for</span></p> <p><br><table style="width:1453.6px" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="height:36.0px"> <div> <div id="tor__fexperienceReq_div"><span id="sr-only-notify-tor__fexperienceReq"></span></div> <div id="tor__fexperienceReq_readOnlyDiv"> <div id="tor__fexperienceReq_content"> <p>• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.<br>• Semiconductor process &amp; Microelectronics know-how.<br>• Exposure to analog circuit design and if possible, EDA tools.• Basic Linux know-how, and exposure to scripting language (eg.
