<p>We’re looking for a <strong>Serviceabililty Engineer (m/f/d) </strong>to join our Systems & Electronics Engineering team within <strong>R&D </strong>for<strong> Sennheiser consumer products </strong>in Hannover.<br>This is a brand-new team working closely with project teams to ensure new headphones, soundbars, and speakers are designed with serviceability and repairability in mind.</p> <p> </p> <p>You’ll join the product development process from day one: defining service requirements, shaping how products can be repaired or refurbished, working with suppliers on test equipment, and ensuring everything is ready before launch.</p> <p>Your work ends when the product hits the market—giving you the satisfaction of seeing your engineering decisions directly influence products on store shelves.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you enjoy building processes from scratch, collaborating across functions, and creating equipment and documentation that enable global service teams, this role offers a unique chance to make a lasting impact.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Define serviceability and repairability requirements for new audio products</li> <li>Influence product architecture through service-focused design reviews</li> <li>Translate service needs into requirements and acceptance criteria in PLM tools</li> <li>Plan and execute service verification across EVT/DVT/MVT builds</li> <li>Write SOWs, order equipment, and approve test software</li> <li>Provide technical content for service manuals, troubleshooting guides, exploded views, and training materials</li> <li>Support service readiness and gate approvals with cross-functional teams</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your profile</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>3–5 years in service engineering, NPI, or test engineering in consumer electronics with a focus on designing and validating serviceability</li> <li>Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; basic software knowledge</li> <li>Hands-on experience with test instrumentation</li> <li>Experience with audio test systems (APx, GRAS/B&K, IEC ear simulators) and/or knowledge of Bluetooth/BLE, Wi‑Fi, USB‑C, DSP/ANC, and mobile app/OTA workflows is an advantage</li> <li>Background in consumer audio or similar consumer electronics is a plus</li> <li>Fluent English (good German is an advantage)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>As part of Sonova Consumer Hearing, we’re committed to building an inclusive culture.
