<p><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY:</u></strong></p> <p>As a leading engineer, the candidate is expected to have in-depth knowledge in embedded designs and control algorithms in power conversion control. He / she is expected to take responsibility for new program development, design, evaluation of circuits, components, and communication across functional teams.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p> <ol start="1" type="1"> <li>Design and follow up project development</li> </ol> <ol start="1" type="1"> <ul type="disc"> <li>To have electrical circuit design (including magnetic & thermal design) & analysis independently</li> <li>To conduct circuit simulations & deliver reports</li> <li>To have regular conference calls with customers</li> </ul> </ol> <p> </p> <ol start="2" type="1"> <li>FA & debugging</li> </ol> <ol start="1" type="1"> <ul type="disc"> <li>To resolve technical issues</li> <li>To have power up debugging & waveforms' capture in each design stages</li> </ul> </ol> <p> </p> <ol start="3" type="1"> <li>Design documentation</li> </ol> <ol start="1" type="1"> <ul type="disc"> <li>To support customer specification & technical requirement reviews</li> <li>To review test reports and technical documents for customers</li> <li>To take responsibility for the weekly project meeting & design reviews</li> </ul> </ol> <p> </p> <ol start="4" type="1"> <li>RFQ</li> </ol> <ol start="1" type="1"> <ul type="disc"> <li>To work on BOM cost and technical proposal for new opportunities</li> </ul> </ol> <p> </p> <ol start="5" type="1"> <li>Coaching</li> </ol> <ol start="1" type="1"> <ul type="disc"> <li>To provide guidance for junior / senior engineers to complete the tasks</li> <li>To monitor the progress of tasks assigned to junior / senior engineers to meet project schedule</li> </ul> </ol> <p> </p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong><u>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</u></strong></p> <p>Regularly work in Taiwan office and lab. Occasionally travel to Philippines factory or Customer site for on-site support.</p> <p><strong> </strong><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong><u>SKILLS:</u></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Able to work independently and have good judgment and problem-solving skills</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Initiative and a good team player</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Interpersonal & communication including fluent in Chinese and English</li> <li>Good organizing skill in project planning</li> <li>Usage of simulation tools</li> <li>Good presentation skill</li> <li>Good coaching skill</li> <li>Self-motivator</li> <li>Creative thinking</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong><u>EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in electronic design of switching mode power supply; Experience in Hyperscale projects is highly preferred</li> <li>Solid experience on research & development of server power supply</li> <li>Strong knowledge of power electronics and bench work; knowledge of firmware programming is plus</li> <li>Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Engineer</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><u>EDUCATION:</u></strong></p> <p>Bachelor Degree in Power Electronics or Electronic / Electrical Engineering or equivalent</p>
