POSITION SUMMARY: Plans and executes strategic initiatives for the Global Operations organization. Programs are primarily manufacturing operations transitions (consolidation, expansion, integration) and production transfer related. This position works with local and worldwide, cross-functional teams to develop and meet project schedules. This role is key to develop, manage and monitor large- and small-scale programs from business case proposal to completion, assuring satisfactory results and closure. Additionally, this role will coordinate with other functional departments impacted by the programs and with all levels of the organization, including executive management. The Program Manager could be responsible for planning and execution to program budgets more than $10M. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li>Develop, manage, monitor, and complete small to large scale programs, usually with multiple sub-projects</li> <li>Develop and monitor budgets</li> <li>Manage cross-functional teams in the execution of program plans to schedule</li> <li>Coordinate necessary program support and task completions with corporate departments, Finance, Legal, Trade Compliance, Facilities, Engineering, and Human Resources</li> <li>Identify variances from plan and recommend corrective actions</li> <li>Regularly report project status; develop metrics and goals to monitor performance and effectiveness</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> WORK ENVIRONMENT: <ul> <li>Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment</li> <li>International travel of up to 40%</li> <li>Leads international project teams across multiple time zones</li> <li>Interfaces with internal customers in all functional areas and at all levels in the organization</li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS: <ul> <li>Must have excellent leadership skills</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li> <li>Strong problem solving, organizational, and project management skills required</li> <li>Attention to detail</li> <li>Well organized and disciplined</li> <li>Ability to make independent decisions with initiative and tact</li> <li>Must be able to interact with people at all levels and locations in the organization</li> <li>Ability to multi-task </li> <li>Ability to manage to aggressive timelines</li> <li>Trained in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing tools</li> <li>Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Including Project/Smartsheets and Visio) and SAP/Oracle</li> </ul> EXPERIENCE: <ul> <li>Experience in successfully managing cross-functional teams towards a common goal</li> <li>Experience in developing and executing to project budgets</li> <li>Prefer 5+ years of experience in managing people and large (>10) teams (indirect + direct)</li> <li>Prefer manufacturing operations, engineering, or production facilities management experience at a plant-wide level</li> <li>Familiar with electronics, medical, and/or semiconductor manufacturing, a plus</li> </ul> EDUCATION: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or similar</li> <li>5-10 years direct experience in managing large scale projects in addition to relevant professional certifications is required</li> <li>Certification in APICS CPIM, CIRM and other relevant professional certifications is preferred</li> </ul> COMPENSATION: As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
