Programs are primarily manufacturing operations transitions (consolidation, expansion, integration) and production transfer related. This position works with local and worldwide, cross-functional teams to develop and meet project schedules. This role is key to develop, manage and monitor large- and small-scale programs from business case proposal to completion, assuring satisfactory results and closure. Additionally, this role will coordinate with other functional departments impacted by the programs and with all levels of the organization, including executive management. The Program Manager could be responsible for planning and execution to program budgets more than $10M. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:#333333">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color:#333333">Develop, manage, monitor, and complete small to large scale programs, usually with multiple sub-projects</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Develop and monitor budgets</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Manage cross-functional teams in the execution of program plans to schedule</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Coordinate necessary program support and task completions with corporate departments, Finance, Legal, Trade Compliance, Facilities, Engineering, and Human Resources</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Identify variances from plan and recommend corrective actions</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Regularly report project status; develop metrics and goals to monitor performance and effectiveness</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Other duties as assigned</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:black">WORK ENVIRONMENT:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color:black">Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment</span></li> <li><span style="color:black">International travel of up to 40%</span></li> <li><span style="color:black">Leads international project teams across multiple time zones</span></li> <li><span style="color:black">Interfaces with internal customers in all functional areas and at all levels in the organization</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:black">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color:#333333">Must have excellent leadership skills</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Strong problem solving, organizational, and project management skills required</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Attention to detail</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Well organized and disciplined</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Ability to make independent decisions with initiative and tact</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Must be able to interact with people at all levels and locations in the organization</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Ability to multi-task </span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Ability to manage to aggressive timelines</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Trained in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing tools</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Including Project/Smartsheets and Visio) and SAP/Oracle</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:black">EXPERIENCE:</span> </strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color:#333333">Experience in successfully managing cross-functional teams towards a common goal</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Experience in developing and executing to project budgets</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Prefer 5+ years of experience in managing people and large (>10) teams (indirect + direct)</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Prefer manufacturing operations, engineering, or production facilities management experience at a plant-wide level</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Familiar with electronics, medical, and/or semiconductor manufacturing, a plus</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:black">EDUCATION: </span> </strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color:#333333">Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or similar</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">5-10 years direct experience in managing large scale projects in addition to relevant professional certifications is required</span></li> <li><span style="color:#333333">Certification in APICS CPIM, CIRM and other relevant professional certifications is preferred</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:#333333">COMPENSATION: </span></strong></p> <p><em><span style="color:black">As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
