<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p> <p>The Quality Engineer III is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures. Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <p>· Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer’s requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE’s business needs.</p> <p>· Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints.</p> <p>· Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.</p> <p>· Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.</p> <p>· Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.</p> <p>· Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.</p> <p>· Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.</p> <p>· Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.</p> <p>· Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.</p> <p>· Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.</p> <p>· Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools.<br><br></p> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <p>· Proficient knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and manufacturing processes</p> <p>· Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills</p> <p>· Familiar with diagnostic equipment (SEM, EDX, X-ray analysis, scopes, etc), statistical yield analysis, physical failure, and root-cause analysis</p> <p>· Measurable and extensive experience with influencing and negotiating in complex situations.</p> <p>· Able to define process criteria to meet product and process requirements.</p> <p>· Fluent English</p> <p>· LEAN Manufacturing tools</p> <p>· Excellent computer skills (Statistical Software, Office –Excel-,etc)</p> <p>· Strong Negotiation and Communication skills</p> <p>· Strong Leader and fearless change agent</p> <p>· Strong Team work skills</p> <p>· Data driven</p> <p>· Work proactively</p> <p>· Requires minimum 3-4 year degree in a relevant Engineering discipline </p> <p>·Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals</p> <p>· Expert in determining root cause of failures, correlating to historical data, and driving corrective action </p> <p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <p>· Experience in Electronics Industry Preferable</p> <p>· Experience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Preferable</p> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <p>· Bachelor degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering)</p> <p>· Six Sigma Certification preferable</p> <p>· Possesses a thorough knowledge of products and applications · Drives improvements in corporate functional capabilities</p> <p>· Typically requires a minimum of 7 years engineering experience</p>
