<p>The Senior Logistics Buyer is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of transportation and logistics services to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality delivery of goods. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to support operational efficiency and supply chain goals.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Develop and execute sourcing strategies for transportation and logistics services (e.g., freight, warehousing, customs brokerage).</li> <li>Negotiate contracts and service agreements with logistics providers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.</li> <li>Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and compliance.</li> <li>Analyze logistics spend and identify cost-saving opportunities through consolidation, mode optimization, and supplier performance.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) to align logistics procurement with business needs.</li> <li>Stay current with market trends, regulations, and innovations in logistics and transportation.</li> <li>Manage RFQs, RFPs, and supplier selection processes.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and sustainability initiatives.</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, ISM, CPSM) is a plus.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in logistics procurement or supply chain management.</li> <li>Strong negotiation and contract management skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in procurement systems and data analysis tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.</li> <li>Knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms.</li> <li>Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience with global logistics networks and multimodal transportation.</li> <li>Familiarity with sustainability and ESG practices in logistics.</li> </ul>
