<div> <p>The <strong>Senior Test Engineer – NPI</strong> is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying production test solutions for new electronic products from prototype through mass production. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, test coverage, yield performance, and manufacturing readiness during new product launches.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with electronics testing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced NPI environment.</p> <hr> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Lead <strong>test development activities</strong> for new electronic products during NPI phases</li> <li>Define and implement <strong>production test strategies</strong> (ICT, FCT, system-level, functional, and boundary scan)</li> <li>Design, validate, and release <strong>test fixtures, test software, and automation solutions</strong></li> <li>Support <strong>prototype, pilot, and MP builds</strong>, including on-site test support and debugging</li> <li>Collaborate closely with <strong>Design, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain</strong> teams</li> <li>Drive <strong>DFT reviews</strong> with hardware and firmware teams to ensure testability</li> <li>Develop and maintain <strong>test documentation</strong> including test plans, specifications, procedures, and reports</li> <li>Analyze test data, yields, and coverage; identify root causes and implement corrective actions</li> <li>Support <strong>failure analysis</strong> and debug hardware, firmware, and manufacturing issues</li> <li>Manage test equipment selection, procurement, qualification, and maintenance</li> <li>Support <strong>test transfer</strong> to production and/or contract manufacturers</li> <li>Drive <strong>continuous improvement</strong> initiatives focused on yield, cost, and test efficiency</li> <li>Mentor junior test engineers and technicians as needed</li> <li>Ensure compliance with company quality systems and regulatory requirements</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <h3>Required:</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in <strong>Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field</strong></li> <li><strong>6–8+ years</strong> of experience in electronics test engineering, with strong NPI exposure</li> <li>Hands-on experience with: <ul> <li>ICT, FCT, system-level, and functional test methodologies</li> <li>Automated test equipment (ATE) and test fixture design</li> <li>Debug of PCBAs and complex electronic systems</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong knowledge of: <ul> <li>Electronics hardware (analog, digital, power, mixed-signal)</li> <li>Manufacturing test flows and yield optimization</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience working in <strong>high-mix / high-volume</strong> manufacturing environments</li> <li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred:</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with <strong>LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, or test scripting languages</strong></li> <li>Exposure to <strong>SMT/TH manufacturing processes</strong></li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>DFMEA/PFMEA, IPC standards</strong>, and quality systems</li> <li>Experience working with <strong>EMS partners or global manufacturing sites</strong></li> <li>Background in regulated industries (automotive, medical, industrial, aerospace)</li> </ul> <hr> <h2>Key Competencies</h2> <ul> <li>New Product Introduction (NPI)</li> <li>Test Strategy & Architecture</li> <li>Debug & Failure Analysis</li> <li>Cross-Functional Collaboration</li> <li>Automation & Efficiency</li> <li>Data Analysis & Yield Improvement</li> <li>Technical Mentorship</li> </ul> </div>
