POSITION SUMMARY : Managing a small team of buyers, and responsible for on time delivery per request to make sure the supply continuity and at the same time inventory control under a reasonable level. The position is required to monitor and drive improving suppliers’ performance within the discipline, maintain communication internally and externally to keep it efficient and effective and strength the core competence of AE’s business relationship with the suppliers, duties include but not limited to get favorable results and maintain system correctly and timely and finish tasks and assignments within required time period, provides assistance in the performance of various purchasing assignments and planning of lower to medium value production materials under limited supervision. RESPONSIBILITIES : <ol> <li style="text-align:justify">Manage a small team of buyers, train, support, and monitor each buyer’s performance and compliance to company guidelines.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Implement procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Educate suppliers of performance measurements and continuous improvements.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organisational goals</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Evaluates and monitor supplier quality and delivery performance against corporate zero defects and on time delivery objectives together with smooth logistic requirements and work with related team to improve the performance.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Develops a good working knowledge of materials and sources of supply to make purchases at prices consistent with quantity and quality requirements and within established standard costs.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned commodities/suppliers of any technologies, manufacturing process and related industries, so to be skillful and experienced enough when expediting for an results.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Purchases parts/materials using Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI) negotiation, contracts, cost analysis, price analysis and internal/external technical expertise.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Maintain great communication with suppliers via daily emails and phone calls or conference-calls when there being delivery issue, DMR issue, GR issue, quality issue, payment issue or others till it’s resolved.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Responsible for maintain data integrity timely in system.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Work within optimum inventory with rescheduling with suppliers.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Others duties as assigned.</li> </ol> WORK ENVIRONMENT : <ul> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.</li> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).</li> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Overtime work may be required.</li> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Fast-paced and pressurize environment.</li> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Travel may be required infrequently.</li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS : <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Excellent organizational and negotiation skills.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Flexibility to handle changing conditions.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Excellent self motivation skills.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Excellent analytical skills.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> </ul> EXPERIENCE : <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Minimum 5 years above of experience working in manufacturing and/or related field of business or engineering or Supply Chain (Purchasing/Planning). </li> <li style="text-align:justify">Good knowledge of SAP.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Experience as a Buyer in semiconductor industry , or contract manufacturer environment.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Manage a group of direct material buyer, or the leader of a commodity group.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Familiar with procurement system and procedures. </li> <li style="text-align:justify">Raise reasonable recommendation in improving and make communication / business dealing more efficient and effective.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management system</li> <li style="text-align:justify">An analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Preferable knowleagable in using Power BI, Tableau, Macro etc.</li> </ul> EDUCATION : <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Purchasing / Logistic/ Material Management or equivalent education and/or experiences.</li> </ul> WHY JOIN US?
