Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Test / Validation Engineer – Power Electronics to define and own end‑to‑end test strategies for complex power electronics systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, robustness, and compliance through comprehensive validation, automation, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities: Test Strategy & Ownership <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Define and own the end‑to‑end test strategy, ensuring full coverage of requirements, risks, and applicable standards across the product lifecycle.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, reliability, safety, and compliance requirements.</li> </ul> Test Development & Automation <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Design and implement automated, repeatable test solutions to improve validation efficiency, coverage, and scalability.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Develop test fixtures and establish electrical, system‑level, and high‑power test environments to support validation needs.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Contribute to test framework and infrastructure development to support future product platforms.</li> </ul> Software Development <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Design, develop, and maintain software solutions to support test automation, data acquisition, and validation workflows.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Develop backend services and APIs to control test systems, manage results, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines and validation infrastructure.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Build intuitive frontend dashboards and tools for test execution, monitoring, data visualization, and reporting.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Integrate software solutions with hardware, firmware, and lab equipment interfaces (e.g., instruments, controllers, embedded systems).</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Contribute to architecture decisions for scalable, maintainable, and reusable software platforms supporting current and future products.</li> </ul> Cross‑Functional Collaboration <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Work closely with hardware, firmware, and system design teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve test failures and product defects.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Provide early validation feedback to influence design decisions and improve overall product robustness.</li> </ul> Documentation & Reporting <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Produce clear, well‑structured, and traceable test plans, procedures, and reports that communicate results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Document software architecture, APIs, tools, and usage guidelines to ensure long‑term maintainability.</li> </ul> Lab & Equipment Management <ul> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Operate and manage high‑power lab equipment and test setups, ensuring safe, accurate, and standards‑compliant usage.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Maintain lab best practices related to safety, calibration, and equipment readiness.</li> </ul> Continuous Improvement & Mentorship <ul type="square"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Drive continuous improvements in test processes, tools, software platforms, and methodologies to reduce cost, cycle time, and technical risk.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on validation strategy, debugging, failure analysis, and software development best practices.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">At least 5-6 years’ experience testing power electronics systems and people management.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Strong Knowledge on electronics principles, devices and circuits.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment, Instrumentation, electronic circuit testing (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, AC sources).</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Proven ability to develop test plans, fixtures, and electrical test environments.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">3+ years of experience demonstrating expertise in Python and C#, applying Object‑Oriented Programming concepts to design and maintain automated test solutions.</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Strong debugging and failure analysis skills</li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt">Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting</li> </ul> As part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees in order to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.
