About this role
<p><strong><u>OVERALL MISSION / PURPOSE</u></strong></p> <p>Help DE and EC create and modify schematics, PCB matrix, change history and ECN/ECR.<br>CAD is a key role to control and maintain the versions of all documentations and components.</p> <p>ECAD and MCAD collaboration to complete PCB package design while meeting internal and external requirements.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><u>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p> <p>Design and follow up project of switched mode power supplies development</p> <ul> <li>PCB layout design to meet customer spec requirement and AEI DFM standards</li> <li>Create and modify schematics</li> <li>Co-operate with EE, ME, Mag to finish design checklists after new version PCB layout done</li> <li>Take lead of PCB related DFM issue, collaborate with function team to drive issue closure</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Documentation and report</p> <ul> <li>Engineer change requirement check</li> <li>PCB layout change report</li> <li>CAD checklist, MVR and Valor report</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Design support</p> <ul> <li>Works with PM, support teams and factory to ensure smooth development</li> <li>Sustaining project support</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Others</p> <ul> <li>New component PCB block building by AEI standard</li> <li>Safety/regulatory knowledge</li> <li>Low noise layout knowledge</li> <li>Knowledge of industry standard such as, but not limited to, IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600F, IPC9592 and UL840 etc.</li> <li>Ensure team members are aware of impending risks to cost, quality & schedule</li> <li>Review factory DFM report and close out design related issues to attain passing rating</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><u>JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY REQUIRED</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>PCB Layout program such as Cadence, CAM350, etc.</li> <li>Linear Circuitry</li> <li>power supply safety</li> <li>dimension limitation design</li> </ul>
