With over 150 million cards and 1.16 billion monthly transactions, our platforms operate at the forefront of capacity and performance.</p> <p>We are now seeking a visionary Tech Lead to drive our strategic product transformation and help us build scalable, secure and innovative solutions.</p> <p>As Tech Lead, you will integrate into a diverse, agile, and collaborative cross-cultural team consisting of business analysts, fellow tech leads, developers, and testers. You will play a pivotal role by exploring and defining technical solutions, mentoring team members, guiding the architecture and evolution of our applications to ensure robustness, scalability and future readiness.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Day-to-Day Responsibilities</strong><strong></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Architect and develop applications leveraging modern frameworks and cloud platforms.</li> <li>Define technological choices, best practices, and ensure secure, maintainable code.</li> <li>Conduct code reviews, oversee CI/CD processes, and support technical design decisions to deliver high-quality, scalable issuing payment solutions.</li> <li>Promote team skills development through training, knowledge sharing, and technical mentorship.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams to align on feature development and system improvements.</li> <li>Optimize performance, security, and cloud cost efficiency of applications.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Who Are We Looking For</strong></p> <p>At Worldline, we seek individuals who are visionary and capable of driving positive change. We value those who take initiative, demonstrate a passion for their work, possess a can-do attitude, and have a desire to learn and grow.</p> <p>In practice this means:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Degree in scientific fields, 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.</li> <li>Strong technical expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with solid frontend experience in at least one modern framework (Angular, React, or Vue.js).</li> <li>Proficiency with Kubernetes, REST, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and CI/CD tools like GitLab CI.</li> <li>Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) in day-to-day development.</li> <li>Strong solution design and analytical skills; Scrum experience is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to simplify complex concepts, foster team collaboration, and motivate across international environments.</li> <li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills, innovation focus, and the leadership potential to guide development teams and foster continuous improvement.</li> <li>Experience in the payments industry, including credit card schemes (VISA, Mastercard) and the credit card lifecycle, is a strong plus.</li> <li>Excellent written and spoken English (C1); additional languages (French, German, Italian) are appreciated.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Perks & Benefits</strong></p> <p>At Worldline you’ll get the chance to be at the heart of the global payments technology industry and shape how the world pays and gets paid.
