<p>As a Safety &amp; Environmental Specialist, you will play a key role in building, further developing and operationally implementing our Environmental Management System with a focus on ISO 14001 as well as occupational health and safety. You will act as a sparring partner for management and specialist departments and ensure that environmental management and occupational safety are not only documented but truly embedded in our daily work.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your responsibilities: </strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Maintain and further develop the existing ISO 14001 certification</li> <li>Develop and implement EHS strategies and advise specialist departments and executive management</li> <li>Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and occupational health &amp; safety laws and regulations</li> <li>Carry out risk analyses and assessments to identify hazards and implement preventive measures</li> <li>Conduct accident investigations and reporting</li> <li>Prepare and support internal and external audits</li> <li>Train and raise awareness among employees and managers</li> <li>Prepare KPIs and reports for management and relevant stakeholders</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your profile:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Completed (technical) university degree, preferably in environmental sciences, engineering, safety engineering or a comparable qualification</li> <li>Relevant practical experience in the field of environment, health and safety, ideally in an industrial environment</li> <li>Sound knowledge of national and international EHS requirements and standards (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, REACH, Hazardous Substances Ordinance) as well as regulations and legislation on occupational health and safety</li> <li>Knowledge of and experience in conducting audits, including documentation and follow-up</li> <li>Strong analytical skills as well as a structured and independent way of working</li> <li>Strong communication and assertiveness skills at all hierarchical levels</li> <li>Excellent German and English skills</li> </ul>
