About this role
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Tasks:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Independent handling of development projects (based on ARM architecture processors, primarliy Cortex-A) <ul> <li>developing schedules and cost estimates</li> <li>creating and adapting hardware-specific operating software (bootloader, kernel, root file system) for different operating systems (Yocto, Android, WindowsCE) using standard development tools</li> <li>creating hardware-related programs for testing and troubleshooting purposes, taking into account the necessary version management</li> <li>familiarization with new processor architectures and implementations</li> </ul> </li> <li>Maintenance work on bootloader and root file system code, as well as the necessary version management (especially for Linus and Android-based operating systems)</li> <li>Maintenance work on the Linux kernel code, in particular the implementation of module-specific adaptations</li> <li>Checking and assisting with circuit diagram creation</li> <li>Analysis of customer problems and development of solutions</li> <li>Creation of documentation for Software and its use</li> <li>developing specifications and new standards, products and features</li> <li>coducting training courses for FAEs and Sales Representatives</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Profile:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Software Engineering or equivalent</li> <li>Minimum 4 years professional experience in a related field</li> <li>good knowledge of electrical engineering and programming with the languages C and C++</li> <li>good knowledge of ARM architecture (Cortex-M, Cortex-R, Cortex-A), Linux kernel architecture and the u-boot bootloader</li> <li>knowledge of script programming (Bash, Python) and of common version control systems (git)</li> <li>experience with common ARM development tools (e.g. GNU tools, Yocto toolchain, in-circuit debugger)</li> <li>Additional knowledge that would be of advantage: <ul> <li>specific ARM implementatios from NXP, TI and Qualcomm</li> <li>ARM assembler programming</li> <li>knowledge of Yocto, Android, Windows CE and Windows operating systems</li> <li>QNX and VxWorks realt-time operating systems</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
