This role requires a higher level of technical skill and equipment interaction than Plating Operator I and supports preventive maintenance, quality assurance, and material movement across departments. On‑the‑job training is provided for candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to grow within the organization.</p> <p><u>Primary Responsibilities: </u></p> <ul> <li>Host, forklift, and hyster-lift operation and inspections</li> <li>Operate pallet jacks and other material handling devices to move product and materials</li> <li>Operate, monitor, and adjust plating lines to meet production and quality standards</li> <li>Perform in‑process and final quality inspections to ensure product conformance</li> <li>Conduct preventive and autonomous maintenance on plating equipment</li> <li>Perform basic chemical labeling and handling activities in compliance with safety standards</li> <li>Operate and inspect material‑handling equipment </li> <li>Coordinate and move materials and product between departments</li> <li>Follow all standard work instructions, safety procedures, and PPE requirements</li> <li>Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S principles</li> </ul> <p><u>Education / Experience: </u></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>High school diploma/GED certification</li> <li>High energy, self-motivated, attention to detail and willingness to learn and advance in a fast paced environment</li> <li>Introductory experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus</li> <li>Knowledge of plating processes and production lines is preferred</li> <li>Some welding skills preferred</li> <li>Knowledge of Terminal products, reeling, and plating processes</li> <li>Basic arithmetic and the ability to work with alpha-numeric part numbers</li> </ul> <p><u>Physical Requirements:</u></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 44 lbs safely & dependably</li> <li>Must be able to carry a minimum weight of 44 lbs safely & dependably</li> <li>Must be able to push a peak force of 80 lbs safely & dependably</li> <li>Must be able to pull a peak force of 80 lbs safely & dependably</li> <li>Frequent standing, walking, and balancing throughout the day is required in this job.</li> <li>Additional PPE requirements as necessary for working environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>***This description provides the general nature and level of work performed.
