We look forward to hearing from you.</p> <p> </p><p>We are currently seeking a highly motivated <strong>Risk Intermediate</strong> to join our team in <strong>Brisbane. </strong>As a key member of the team, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to developing your capabilities in <strong>risk management</strong> within a dynamic project environment. This role presents an exciting opportunity for early-career engineers to broaden their experience by supporting senior risk professionals across a portfolio of major projects and strategic initiatives.Through your initiative, collaboration, and analytical mindset, you will help ensure that risks are effectively understood, communicated, and managed to support successful project delivery.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain project risk management frameworks and policies.</li> <li>Develop effective relationships with clients, Engagement Managers, Business Directors and engagement teams</li> <li>Assisting our Senior Technical risk facilitators to Develops deliverables for technical risk workshops and hazard studies (i.e. HAZOPs); with an initial focus on scribing and documenting workshop outputs.</li> <li>Assists project teams maintain risk registers including: periodically re-evaluate risks for their continued relevance, true priority, anticipated effectiveness of the proposed risk treatment plans and validity of documented trigger event;</li> <li>Develop profiency in Hatch’s IPAS RM risk management database to ensure effective and accurate reporting across the business</li> <li>Assist the AUA Regional lead with training and upskilling project teams in the areas of Project and technical risk ;</li> <li>Contributes to fostering a knowledge sharing culture by actively participating in the risk knowledge networks and collaborative forums.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You bring to the role</strong></p> <ul> <li>A strong academic foundation in engineering or project controls, supported by tertiary qualifications in risk management, finance, engineering, or a related discipline.</li> <li>Practical exposure to project-level risk assessments, with familiarity in risk analysis tools such as <strong>PHA-Pro</strong> considered advantageous.</li> <li>A clear ambition to develop into a fully independent technical risk facilitator, with a focus on <strong>HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA</strong> methodologies.</li> <li>Demonstrated capability in <strong>data analytics and visualisation</strong>, particularly using tools such as <strong>Power BI</strong> to support risk-informed decision-making.</li> <li>Over five years of experience within the engineering or construction industry, providing a solid understanding of project environments and associated risks.</li> <li>Working knowledge of international risk management standards, including <strong>ISO 31000</strong>, <strong>ISO 31010</strong>, and <strong>IEC 62198</strong>.</li> <li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.</li> <li>A proactive mindset, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams.</li> </ul><p> </p> <p><strong>Why join us?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with <a href="https://bit.ly/36124ja" target="_blank" rel="noopener">great people</a> to make a difference</li> <li>Collaborate on exciting <a href="http://bit.ly/HatchProjects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">projects</a> to develop innovative solutions</li> <li><a href="https://bit.ly/3p39hIa" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Top employer</a></li> </ul> <p><br><strong>What we offer you?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flat and connected organisation </li> <li>Long term career development</li> <li>Think globally, work locally</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Don't meet every single requirement?
