What's exciting about the role This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical systems at the heart of Verifone’s payment infrastructure. As a key developer of Payware CMS, you'll contribute to high-impact projects that support millions of transactions globally. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, tackle complex technical challenges, and help shape the future of electronic payments.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a key developer for the batch module of Payware CMS. Develop and implement new software requirements based on business and technical specifications. Provide ongoing support for production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact. Collaborate with QA, product, and support teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation. Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation efforts. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in software quality and performance.
Skills and Experience we desire
Proficiency in COBOL Experience with UNIX/Linux SQL expertise Familiarity with Oracle and PostgreSQL Knowledge of version control systems such as Git for source code management Experience with parallel processing Experience in electronic payments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred) Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a similar software development role Intermediate English proficiency (technical reading and documentation) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
