Performs a wide variety of planning, maintenance, and design engineering activities related to routine, non-routine, and emergency restoration duties. Project areas may include grid/system design, operations and maintenance, planning, asset management, reliability, computer applications, safety, and root cause failure analysis. </span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline">JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</span></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide technical guidance to the Engineer Associates and Assistants and local area line groups.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> Provide project management for all large projects including highway relocations, governmental projects, planned improvement and reliability projects. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Review and recommend for approval electrical designs that meet customer needs, comply with company standards and enhance the overall system performance and reliability.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> Participate in meetings with external customers, architects, developers, contractors and government entities to communicate standards and guidelines. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform engineering calculations to aid in planning and corrective measure projects. Assist with storm restoration eƯorts both local and out of town. </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline">MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Engineer I</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Minimum education required of the position Bachelor&apos;s Degree in Engineering Discipline (typically Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical, Industrial) from four year accredited institution. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Degrees in engineering technology (typically, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Industrial) from a four year accredited institution with PE may be considered. </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Minimum experience required of the position Engineer I</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Engineer I - 0 to 2 years experience in an engineering discipline</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Engineer II (Tdb) - 2+ years experience in an engineering discipline.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Engineer III (Tdb) - 4+ years experience in an engineering discipline.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Sr Engineer (Tdb) - 6+ years experience in an engineering discipline.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline">Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position </span></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledgeable of engineering principles. Ability to understand and comply with procedures, programs, and standards in responsible area. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good leadership skills. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good interpersonal skills along with strong written and oral communication skills. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Excellent math skills. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Excellent project management skills.
