Work Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE As a key member of the Project Execution team, the Project Engineer serves as the Owner’s Engineer and technical assurance lead for large-scale ($1bn +) greenfield power-generation projects within the Entergy Texas service territory. While the role is based out of the Woodlands, TX office, travel to the assigned project site for extended periods of time should be expected. This role functions as the primary technical representative for combined-cycle and simple-cycle generation projects executed under EPC turnkey and lumpsum contracting models. The position is responsible for providing independent engineering oversight, technical governance, and engineering quality assurance throughout all phases of project execution. The Project Engineer does not perform detailed engineering but instead leads Owner-side technical review and validation of EPC engineering and construction deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, Entergy standards, constructability expectations, operability objectives, and long-term asset reliability goals. This role oversees multidisciplinary engineering coordination and supports technical resolution of EPC RFIs, field issues, engineering deviations, and change-order requests while maintaining alignment between engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, OEMs, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience supporting major capital projects exceeding $500MM and has previously served in an Owner’s Engineer, Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Assurance, or technical oversight role within the power, oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial industries. Strong EPC project execution knowledge, multidisciplinary engineering expertise, and proven success governing engineering quality within a complex project environment are essential.
