SBM Offshore combines engineering expertise, operational reliability, and selective innovation to support safe, efficient, and lower-carbon energy production, while extending its capabilities into new opportunities across the blue economy.</p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Purpose</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="text-align:justify">As Operability Lead Engineer, you are responsible for SBM Operations’ technical deliverables and for coordinating technical reviews throughout the FPSO project.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">You will follow all project phases — engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning — to ensure operability and maintainability requirements are embedded up to final handover of the facility.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><p><strong>Operational &amp; Technical Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and provide operability and maintainability input across WIN, design, construction, and completion stages of the EPC project to ensure a safe, competitive, and fit‑for‑purpose FPSO aligned with contractual and SBM Operations requirements.</li> <li>Act as the <strong>Internal Client</strong> for technical acceptance of EPC deliverables.</li> <li>Ensure designs meet <strong>Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM)</strong> targets and uptime requirements.</li> <li>Verify EPC work compliance with <strong>SBM Group Technical Standards (GTS)</strong> and quality procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Team Coordination &amp; Review Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate SBM Operations Discipline Superintendents, including workload planning and fostering constructive collaboration with the EPC team.</li> <li>Consolidate and periodically review the <strong>Operations Comments Register</strong> with the Engineering Manager.</li> <li>Develop and manage the Operations review plan and matrix for all NEO document review cycles, including Operability, Asset Integrity, HSSE, and Technical Experts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Project Reviews &amp; Technical Assurance</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Coordinate and participate in key project reviews such as HAZOPs, model reviews, vendor bid evaluations, FATs, and technical safety reviews.</li> <li>Review engineering documentation, operating manuals, and Operational Test Procedures (OTPs).</li> <li>Validate the Operations Punch List and coordinate verification of mechanical completion for critical systems.</li> <li>Oversee execution of OTPs during system completion and handover.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Continuous Improvement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Capture and feedback technical, operational, and commercial lessons learned into SBM Group and Operations Management Systems, GTS, and future projects.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Education</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>University degree (BSc or MSc) in a relevant engineering discipline: <strong>Process, Marine, Mechanical</strong>, or equivalent.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experience</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>5–7 years of experience in the oil &amp; gas industry with previous international experience.</li> <li>Good general knowledge of FPSO design and familiarity with engineering processes and design office phases.</li> <li>Operations exposure is an advantage.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Functional Competencies</H2> </div><div><div>Reliability, operability and safety</div><div>Start-up and Handover</div><div>Safety Management</div><div>Construction and commissioning</div><div>Planning</div><div>Hazard Identification and Risk Management</div></div></div></div><p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="color:#ff8c00"><strong>GENERAL INFORMATION</strong></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px">SBM Offshore N.V. is a listed holding company that is headquartered in Amsterdam.
