The Opportunity: Working as an Electrician, you'll be the go-to person for all things electrical in our sawmill. You'll ensure our machinery and equipment are operating at their best, troubleshoot and fix electrical issues, and play a key role in maintaining a safe workplace. This is a full-time, permanent position for our night shift (second shift), offering a 10% shift differential. What you will do as an Electrician: <ul> <li class="paragraph">Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in top working condition.</li> <li class="paragraph">Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.</li> <li class="paragraph">Install new electrical systems, machinery, and equipment as needed.</li> <li class="paragraph">Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations.</li> <li class="paragraph">Recommend and implement upgrades to improve electrical systems and processes.</li> <li class="paragraph">Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.</li> <li class="paragraph">Work closely with other team members, including mechanics and production staff, to ensure smooth operations.</li> </ul> Experience and skills that will help you stand out: <ul> <li class="paragraph">Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a sawmill or similar setting.</li> <li class="paragraph">Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent troubleshooting skills.</li> <li class="paragraph">Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.</li> <li class="paragraph">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li> <li class="paragraph">Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment would be considered a plus.
