Instrumentation work includes flow, level, temperature, weigh systems and control valves. They also support programmable logic controller (PLC) work and Distributed Control System (DCS) programming.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Baton Rouge has Research & Development (R&D) and manufacturing capabilities. A dedicated team performs fundamental research and product development in the laboratories, pilot plant, scale-up, as well as full-scale manufacturing.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The Maintenance Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer is in Baton Rouge, LA and reports to the<em> </em>Maintenance Reliability Leader, working a straight-day, 9/80 schedule. <em> </em></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:square"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Plant I&E support - troubleshoot Instrumentation, Electrical & DCS issues. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist and support plant & lab instrumentation and control systems such as Foxboro and Emerson Delta V.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain Plant Quality critical instruments & weigh scales.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Analyze existing instrumentation and determine if the selected equipment is the best available for the intended application. Ensure proper PMs in place.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist in the design and implementation of Safety Instrumented Systems</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain assigned tasks within the plant Management of Change (MOC) system for Electrical, Instrument and DCS changes.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Actively participate in site Envitornment, Health and Safety style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Physical Requirements and Environment</b></H2> </div><ul style="margin-top:0.0;margin-bottom:0.0"><li>Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials </li><li>Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings. </li><li>Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft. </li><li>Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator </li></ul></div><div </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience in electrical and/or instrumentation design or style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience in the design, selection, and application of process control equipment such as level, pressure, flow, low voltage power equipment (breakers, relays, starters, transformers, etc)</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Demonstrated experience with technical problem-solving skills, failure analysis, and maintenance.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with SAP Maintenance</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with DCS programming</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">PSM (Process Safety Management) and SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems) experience</li>
