<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Description</b></H2> </div><div><p>W.R Grace is seeking a Technical Customer Service Lab Chemist role to handle all the laboratory activities that provide technical support to both external and internal customers including supporting TCS Managers in PRISM & AD projects for Coatings , Plastics and Consumers applications.</p> <p>The position operates within Material Technologies Business and the location is at our manufacturing Plant in Kuantan, Malaysia.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Ensure the laboratory is operated in conformance with local safety and environmental regulations.</li> <li>Maintain a safe and orderly lab with strict adherence to safety protocols, proper use of PPE, good housekeeping, proper chemical labelling and storage.</li> <li>Managing and upkeeping of the essential records such as chemical inventories, chemical waste disposal, MSDS, HIRA, lab asset management, test methods and working instructions.</li> <li>Ensure the day-to-day laboratory work is carried out and completed timely.</li> <li>Collaborates with cross regional TCS labs to share best practices and support.</li> <li>Support TCS Engineers to perform product characterization analysis, product application performance test, customer complaint investigations and product quality improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Support TCS Manager on customer support projects, comparative studies & competitor benchmarking, application development work and Prism new product evaluation.</li> <li>Provide product and application training to Grace sales and distributor sales team</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Required Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Able to operate Coating / Polymer laboratory test equipment and analytical instruments.</li> <li>Having application knowledge in Edible oil refining processes is an advantage.</li> <li>Proficiency in English and Chinese language.</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills are critical success factors.</li> <li>Prior experience working in coating / polymer laboratory.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>5 years minimum experience in Coating or Plastics related segment.</li> <li>Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or General Chemistry</li> </ul> <p> </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Benefits</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Medical Insurance and Dental/Vision Benefits </li> <li>Life Insurance and Disability</li> <li>13 Month Guaranteed Pay</li> <li>Paid Vacation and Holidays</li> </ul></div></div></div>
