<p>Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, ensures proper running and cleaning of production equipment in the manufacture of powder coatings.</p> <p>Location: Warsaw, IN</p> <p>2nd & 3rd shift opportunities available </p> <p><br>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>1. Packaging and palletizing of finished product into boxes, drums, gaylords, and<br> supersacks from 15 lb to 2000 lbs.<br>2. General housekeeping.<br>3. Cleaning grinders, extruders, testing equipment and charging equipment<br>4. Forklift operation<br>5. Floor Scrubber operation<br>6. Sampling of raw materials and/or finished good.<br>7. Recording of batch variables and logging data.<br>8. Perform all work safely and injury-free. Must actively participate in improving<br> department and plant safety performance.<br>9. Perform duties according to ISO 14001 procedures and environmental Requirements<br>10. Attend and participate in Warsaw Plant Programs/Committees/Training as required, such as Department Safety, Plant Safety, Behavioral Safety, Housekeeping Audit Teams, ISO, Life Saving Rules or any other safety programs.<br>11. Participate in the Warsaw Safety Journey. Adhere to the Golden Principle which is Simply to intervene to stop work if conditions or behavior are unsafe.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Department Specific Duties Include:</strong></span></p> <p>WEIGH UP OPERATORS:</p> <p>1. Wash totes<br>2. Charge product<br>3. Weigh up critical raws<br>4. Loading and blending of dry materials<br>5. Sample room (pre-mix)<br>1. Extrude/grind/sieve sample and obtain QC analysis for testing<br>6. Stage raw materials for batches per batch tickets<br>7. Record data<br>8. Transport totes to blender/blend/sample</p> <p><br>EXTRUDER OPERATORS:</p> <p>1. Must possess basic mechanical aptitude.<br>2. Ability to determine screw profile for product as determined on batch ticket <br> or run history by interacting with extruder operator on previous shift. <br>3. Ability to determine cleanliness of machine.<br>4. Operation of grinder and extruder production lines<br>5. Wash and clean totes.<br>6. Dust collector filter replacement on the grinders<br>7. Transport totes of QC approved material to upper level mezzanine.<br>8. Extrude product – adjust feed rate to allow maximum capacity per product <br> specification.<br>9. Transport tote to Post-Add station if necessary.<br>10. Transport extruded product to ACM staging area.</p> <p><br>ACM OPERATORS: </p> <p>1. Grind totes in sequence to minimize contamination at leadperson’s request.<br>2. Must determine cleanliness of machine prior to running product by interacting with previous shift ACM operator.<br>3. Transport tote of approved flake, run a contamination, sieve check and pull sample for QC.<br>4. Make adjustments as necessary, re-clean machine if contaminated.<br>5. Perform particle size analysis – adjust if necessary (every 18 boxes).<br>6. Pull samples as required for QC (every 27 boxes).</p> <p><br>AUTO PACK OPERATOR:</p> <p>1. Monitor operation of Auto Packaging System<br>2. Monitor case erector<br>3. Ensure case erector is equipped with:<br> *boxes<br> *material in bag inserter<br> *Ties for bag closer<br> *Ensure case sealer has tape<br>4. Transport full skids, stretch wrap and move to finished goods staging area.</p> <p>Essential Qualifications:<br>• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. <br>• Basic math skills <br>• Strong tow motor driving skills<br>• Good computer skills with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. <br>• Some experience with SAP preferred <br>• Job requires good interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interface with AkzoNobel personnel in a confidential manner.<br>• Ability to lift 55 lbs. several times/daily</p>
