The Programme Delivery department is accountable for delivering the Capital Construction Programme. This is achieved by delivering intelligent Totex solutions, through collaboration, for sustainable out-performance. The Department is also accountable for commercial and contractual arrangements across the supply chain and to deliver leading and world class contract management processes. Undertaking the roles of Client, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor we manage the end-to-end design process and utilise a wide-ranging supply chain to deliver engineering construction schemes across Clean Water, Waste Water and Networks. Where you fit in: As our Senior Project Engineer you will; <ul> <li>Provide technical supervision and line management of a team of Project Technicians</li> <li>Technically manage and coordinate the design and safe delivery of engineered ICA projects within the Specialist Projects portfolio</li> <li>Ensure that the delivery of all projects complies with the requirements of the CDM regulations undertaking the role of Principal Contractor and supporting the Client & Principal Designer</li> <li>Ensure adherence to YW Engineering specification and associated documentation</li> <li>Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work to ensure compliance with the YW safety Policy</li> <li>Ensure that robust financial management and commercial awareness form the foundation of all business decisions</li> </ul> What skills & qualifications you will need: <ul> <li>Instrumentation Control & Automation (ICA) based apprenticeship or Engineering degree or equivalent</li> <li>ONC/HNC/BTEC in Electrical Control & Automation.</li> <li>Understands the principles of control of works – Permits, POWRA, RAMS etc</li> <li>Understands the major processes and the effects/role of ICA equipment in this</li> <li>Has a broad experience with electrical, ICA, mechanical and process equipment and can use this experience to produce engineered solutions to resolve business risks and other issues</li> <li>Has a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the CDM regulations and their practical application</li> <li>Has a good understanding of the design and project delivery process including hazard identification, risk assessment and site supervision</li> <li>Is able to respond/answer to a wide range of specific technical and non-technical detailed queries</li> <li>Understands and has experience of working to ATEX standards</li> </ul> You will also benefit from having: <ul> <li>Experience working in a regulated utility or major asset management / delivery with a wide-ranging asset base</li> <li>Previous experience in a commercially orientated and or regulated environment</li> <li>SMSTS trained</li> <li>Has knowledge of the range of equipment within the water industry – including high pressure / temperature waste processing facilities, chemical systems, gas processing and High voltage equipment</li> </ul> We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 2 days in the office per week.
